Coaching Clients to Achieve the Relationships Most Important to Them
In all the world, relationships are the foundation of BEing with others in a way that creates connectedness, challenges, love and explores new possibilities. From the moment we are born into the world connection with others is the natural instinct we all share. As we travel life's path – we find many challenges in creating working relationships – with ourselves, intimate partners, family, professional colleagues, and personal friends.
No matter what type of coaching you are involved in, personal, business, leadership, health, family; relationship is always a part of the coaching. Leaders in business face unique challenges, parents in families have unique relationship challenges with their children and each other, and each of us has a unique relationship with ourselves.
This certification program is designed to give professional coaches specific tools to work with their clients in expanding their understanding of BEing in relationship with themselves first and foremost, and how they are in relationship with others in a way that creates authentic connection.
Coaches will be certified to use The Relationship Coaching Workbook to teach, coach, and guide their clients as they explore the fundamentals of relationship in a unique 12 week process.

Becoming Certified to Coach Relationships
There is a distinct difference between relationship counseling/therapy and coaching. Coaching creates the plans, actions, self awareness, attitudes and results that support what clients want in their relationships.
You will learn in this 4-day training how to make these distinctions with your client. You will learn how to stay in the coaching mode and challenge your client to create what they say they want in all of their relationships.
This training will be intensive in exploring your own attitudes, assumptions and beliefs about relationships, using you as the example. You will achieve the skills to coach relationships AND be much more aware of your own relationship needs. What do you give and what do you want in your relationship with yourself, with others and with the world – where do you stand? This self awareness is essential in coaching others.
How the Coaching Relationship process works:
Using The Relationship Coaching Workbook with your clients over a 12 week period you will explore 10 specific tracks designed for them to discover the foundation for all fulfilling relationships. You will be mentored by Certified Relationship Coaches as you develop the coaching skills to assist your clients to discover what they want and what they give to their relationships.
The following are areas for coaching that impact all relationships:
- Expectations of self and others
- Characterizations we make that expand or limit relationships
- Balance and boundaries – tending without overextending
- Teaching others how to be in relationship with you
- Asking for what you want and being willing to receive.
- Nurturing relationships—acknowledgment and celebration
The Certification Process
Coaches attending must have obtained training on coaching core competencies and be certified coaches from a coach training institution with 80 hours curriculum or have documented a minimum of 50 hours in a coaching practice.
- Pre work research and reading will be required
- Attend the full 4-day training starting on Thursday at 9:00AM completing Sunday at 5:00PM.
- Be mentored by a Relationship faculty coach through a 12 week coaching process using the Relationship Coaching Manual.
- Successfully complete with 2 “practice” clients (which you have enrolled and created agreement to be coached) through The Relationship Coaching Workbook.
- Participate in tele-classes conducted by the Relationship faculty coaches.
- Recording calls of some coaching sessions with feedback provided, as well as giving feedback to others recorded coaching calls.
- Complete and pass a written test demonstrating knowledge of the relationship coaching materials and their application.
- Submit all course files on a CD to faculty coaches, including client evaluations
- Complete evaluation of your CRC experience
Certification will provide each graduating coach with a license agreement with Resource Realizations to use The Coaching Relationship Workbook with all their clients and the designation of Certified Relationship Coach (CRC).
Prior to the first weekend you will be requested to read and write a 2-4 page summary of the impact of the following book on YOUR life.

Additional preparatory work may be assigned prior to the training once registration is complete.
This coaching process has increased my competency as a coach in that it has focused on some very specific aspects of relationships.
