David Gilcrease
Founder
"Commitment to improving one's self-worth is the key
to unlocking the limitless resources within each of us."
David
Gilcrease is the founder of Resource Realizations, Inc., a fifteen year-old
training and consulting firm. An internationally respected trainer and consultant,
he has served clients in Asia, Japan, Europe, and the United States. Recognized
as an innovator, international companies have been quick to expand his training
abroad. He has led and developed seminars in management, sales, leadership,
and customer service. He has and continues to develop material combining
the best management and training philosophy available today to assist organizations
and people in achieving their full and true potential. His programs have
been successfully adopted by the Worldwide Association of Specialty Programs.
These programs assist teens and their families in changing behavior patterns
which limit them and create barriers to establishing supportive, loving relationships
based on trust.
Previous to starting his own company, David worked as a manager for Sola
Ophthalmics, involved in the development and integration of an automated
customer service system. His duties included management of all office,
phones, and computer systems for a company grossing $60+ million per year.
He was directly responsible for a budget of $1.5 million dollars. This "hands
on" seasoning enables him to bring to the training a wealth of practical
experience. His focus is on impacting real-world problems with "usable" skills,
material and knowledge.
David also worked with Hewlett-Packard as a corporate trainer. While with
HP, he developed and taught communications, sales, and management seminars
to both HP personnel and HP clients. Much of the material used by David
was based on material learned as a participant in various seminars with
the noted Wilson Learning Programs.
As a graduate electrical engineer (BSEE, MSEE), David spent the first
eight years of his career in the design of computer hardware and software.
His background as worker, manager, and trainer in high-tech industries
gives him valuable insight into a client's problems and concerns. His expertise
allows him to bring resources to not only the technical sector, but all
individuals in a more meaningful fashion, thus having a greater impact
in creating real life success.

Lou Dozier
Senior Facilitator
Lou Dozier
came to Resource Realizations in 1996 because the company’s purpose
was the venue that allowed her to fully manifest her own personal vision.
After receiving her master’s degree in Psychology in 1972, living
in Germany, she was instrumental in setting up a contract with the
German Republic to assist military American couples to adopt babies
that would normally have gone into the German system, even though fathered
by American military men. At the same time, she became involved in
creating what is now known as "Employee Assistance Programs" for
those military personnel and their dependents having difficulty with
drug/ alcohol abuse and other domestic problems interfering with the
job. Additionally she spent 2 years teaching for City Colleges of Chicago
in their mid-level management program.
Upon returning to California in 1979, she became licensed as a Marriage
and Family therapist; creating a successful private practice working
with families, specializing in Chemical Dependency. She also spent
7 years with Starting Point, a free standing Chemical Dependency Recovery
Hospital, establishing the Family component and becoming the Clinical
Director of the entire 136 bed Hospital. It was during this time that
she became firmly convinced that for lasting changes to be made, it
was imperative to intervene in a whole system approach rather than
working solely with the individual. She was also on staff at California
State University at Sacramento teaching in their Family Services Division.
To ensure the competency of alcohol/drug personnel in counseling she
was part of the movement to require certification and became the first
Vice President of the Sacramento Region of California Drug and Alcohol
Abuse Certification (CDAAC).
As a result of her own requirements of continuing education and personal
work, she did numerous seminars and ultimately became a trainer with
a national training company in 1987, in order to impact the greatest
number of people in the shortest period of time.
Working with Resource Realizations has been a personal dream come
true. The opportunity to facilitate the principles of the seminars
with young people and their families, knowing the possibility of healing
and growth in a whole system is immeasurable, creating a ripple effect
in future generations.
She continues to be licensed as a Marriage Family Child Therapist
in California, as well as having Diplomat status with the American
Psychotherapist Association.
Lou’s personal philosophy is that every individual has the privilege
of creating and owning a passionate purpose for their life and living
it joyfully and freely!
