Leadership Program Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What is a Performance Coach? Performance coaches are people committed to assisting others see all the possibilities and resources available to achieve what they want in life, at home or at work. Coaching is a powerful and proven agent of change. When applied the coaching process stimulates a person to see answers to questions like: "What do I want to create?"; "Where do I need to put more focus and energy?"; "What will my success look like?"
  2. Will I need a rental car? A rental car is not necessary, and is a personal preference. The training will take place in the hotel, and there are plenty of restaurants in the general area. Contact the hotel if you have questions on shuttle services or the nearest airport.
  3. Is this training offered during the week or only on the weekend? At this time the two portions of the training are offered on Saturday and Sunday only.
  4. Is this training geared mostly to management teams? The Leadership Program is for any management level as well as staff level. More and more we are experiencing being able to lead from any chair in a corporation or business highly effective with productivity, team work, and the overall success of the company. This program is designed for anyone in any field at home or at work to learn how to take a leadership role in their life.
  5. What makes this Leadership Program different from all the others? Our program is unique in that it consists of two weekends – one at the beginning of the program and one at the end with personal/group coaching and leadership work that is accomplished with regular coaching calls, assignments and other personal work occurring throughout the 10-week period.
    During the program individuals will not only work with their coach, but also have opportunity to support and connect with other participants to create positive results and a sense of a strong leadership community.
    At the conclusion of the final weekend, each participant will leave with a plan to move forward.
  6. What is involved in the 10 weeks? A lot of it will revolve around what it is you are personally up to creating for yourself in working with a coach. This could include distinctions of being a leader, leading with purpose and vision, communication skills and the ability to work with various social/behavior styles, manifesting personal fulfillment and living each day aligned with values, and service as a leadership attitude, making a difference within a community, and so much more.
  7. What can I expect to get from this program? An understanding of effective ways to communicate, build trust and rapport with others, manage time, hold people accountable, work together to generate results using peer influencing skills, and how to create results you say you want.
  8. Is the program similar to the old Visions program? The program is similar to Visions in that there are two weekends with weeks in between to attain desired outcomes and results. However, the processes are leadership orientated, focused on effective communication, goal achievement, setting priorities and living aligned with individual values.
  9. How does the coaching work? The staff team of the Leadership Program are all Certified Performance Coaches (CPC's). These are professional coaches who have completed over 200 hours of coach specific training from The Resource Academy. Each individual attending the LP will get their own CPC to work with them over the 10-week period on personal leadership skills, declarations, and desired results. Together you will develop a coaching plan that focuses on specific results you want to achieve. Both coach and client discover what works for each individual to achieve the declared results. This occurs through weekly calls with your coach, weekly assignments, taking on new practices and continuously reviewing your results and making necessary adjustments and celebration of successes.

    How is it possible for me to benefit from your Leadership Program opportunity “in spite of myself”? What is it that you would like to take on during the 10-week Leadership Program? How do you envision working with a coach? Can you see a coach as someone that holds your desired outcomes as dearly as you do and stands powerfully with you to achieve success? Can you see a coach as someone that will call you on your “stuff”, intervenes with your destructive self-talk and believes in you when you don't believe in yourself? A coach is all of these things, but most importantly – they are someone just for you!

  11. Are there any group discounts? Yes, we offer a 20% discount to groups of 3 or more coming from the same company or organization who sign up together.
  12. What are the payment terms and method? Investment is $1,800.00; a $400.00 non-refundable deposit is required with registration, the remainder being 2 weeks in advance of the training start date. This covers both training weekends and 10 weeks of 1 on 1 personal coaching.
